Another Plague Victim

My desktop computer has fallen prey to the capacitor plague.

It’s a hand-me-down OEM Athlon machine from 2000, but it was free and has worked well.

Now, should I:

  • Buy replacement caps on DigiKey and try to get it running again?
  • Use this as an excuse to build a new computer.

I’m kind of leaning toward option two despite the cost.
