I built a Pop’n Music arcade-style controller with my dad.

Holes drilled in two-layer wooden controller body. Wire leads attached to bare circuit board from a Sony digital control pad.

Underside of the controller with bottom panel removed and wiring visible. The finished controller on a keyboard stand ready for play.

The controller’s electronics are stolen from a Sony Playstation digital controller. Permanently connecting D-Pad left, right, and down tells the Pop’n Music games that this is a Pop’n controller. The buttons include lights, but I haven’t wired them up for lack of a convenient power supply.
